About Melia Martinez
Melia Martinez's designs showcases digital design work for film and theater through graphic design, motion graphics, 2D VFX, editing, color grading, and projection design. With over ten years of editing experience, Melia integrates technical precision with imaginative storytelling across a range of visual mediums.
The portfolio features detailed Photoshop renderings of stage environments, stylized photoshopped photoshoots, projection design moments for performance, and dynamic visuals created in After Effects and Illustrator. Each project investigates how digital tools can expand the visuals and story of film and theater.
Alongside this digital focus, the portfolio also includes costume, prop, and production design work for film, as well as theatrical concepts in set and costume design, grounding the digital practice in a strong foundation of visual world-building and storytelling.
Melia is currently pursuing a degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, double majoring in Film and Media Studies and Theater, with a focus on design to further explore the visual art of storytelling.

As a Multi-Media Content Producer (and On-Camera Host) Melia conceptualizes, directs, and produces high-performing short-form video content optimized for engagement across social media platforms, reaching tens to hundreds of thousands per post and millions overall.
She shoots, edits, and hosts content for social, YouTube, and government broadcast (Channel 3), while writing clear, audience-focused messaging that translates public information into engaging stories.
She coordinates production logistics, designs supporting visuals, and collaborates with the City Manager’s Office to expand awareness of city programs. Her work has been recognized by CAPIO and national government programming awards, and she has presented at the California Park & Recreation Society Conference (2025–2026).
